Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Look what we woke to this morning
It was so pretty. We got out first thing this morning and was out in it all day long. Let me share...
Cody gets up and wants to shovel the driveway... I said "Get out there and go for it!" Then, he ends up at his friends house next door. Jamie then gets up and heads out with us to play around in the snow... Jaima decides that she isn't in the mood. After the "road scrapers" come through to clear the rode- Jamie and I ride over to the Manassas Battlefield to capture some shots. Jaima went along but we left Cody behind with his friend. It was absolutely beautiful. I captured many shots- many of what you might see as the same shot but I was trying different angles- different settings- and then after uploading them, I couldn't pick a favorite so they were all put into the web album. We went on this walk and seen deer... they were so pretty jumping through the snow. The photo of Jamie lying down attempting to make a snow angel WAS NOT meant to look "dirty" if something like that pops into your head. The snow was just that deep and that little pile b/t his legs just happened to pile up there. I couldn't get rid of the photo b/c I thought it was hilarious of him making a snow angel on this narrow walkway. We arrived back to the neighborhood and found Cody and his friend and sister sledding down this huge hill... it was all downhill from there... that's where we spent the rest of our day. It was a blast. The kids (and Jamie) were flying down that hill. Some even "bit the fence." Not sure what was scarier... flying down the hill, jumping off the sled to keep from hitting the fence, or hitting the fence. Jamie took our friends dog for a trip down the big hill too... The green little flag you see in the photos were there so that the kids could see the snow ramp they built at the bottom of the hill. It blended in with the rest of the snow from top of the hill. As you see they get airborne and crash quite a bit. Jaima got a text from a friend to join them up at the church building for some more sledding fun... after enjoying some fun and hot coacoa there with them- we all come back to the hill to add to the excitement.
This slideshow is early morning shots...

This is the slideshow of our friends from church. These photos were taken at the church property and over on the hill in our neighborhood. The sun was setting so it made it very challenging to capture good shots with the white snow and bright sun... but the memories made will last. The kids had so much fun. Enjoy!
