but what really matters is that it was a great first time experience- I'm talking football. Yes, Cody had his first football game on Sat. It was not a typical football day. It felt like the temp reached 100 on the sidelines. I'm sure the boys felt like it was hotter with the scorching heat. Football is suppose to be in the brisk-cool days of fall. You'd think it was the middle of summer after Sat.
The team has practiced and practiced play after play but they just forgot it all on Sat. They let the opponents run all over them- really they ran all over our boys. Thank goodness there were no injuries worse than some banged up elbows. The football field they played on was hard as a rock with patches of grass- what do you expect when you get clobbered to the ground? Cody did really well- with the exception of one fumble. I'm sharing some pics. Enjoy and of course this is only the beginning- there will be more to come.
