Mt. Hood.
It has been a long day in the car but Oh my what a gorgeous ride it was. Here's what we have seen so far...
1.... well we never made it up to Mount St. Helens this morning. The weather just didn't permit it. It was way too overcast and wasn't worth the 45 min drive up and then back- not to mention it was going out of our way...
2.... we made it to Multnomah Falls. For all of you that live in Silverdale/Bremerton, WA- you've got to drive down to this waterfall. It's absolutely gorgeous not to mention there are many other waterfalls to visit as well. We just didn't make it to the other ones. (Photo included)
3.... we made the journey along the Columbia River on the Oregon state side. Beautiful drive. I was able to capture a great shot (besides getting the power lines in the shot) of Mt. Hood. We also got a glimpse of Mt. Rainier- sorry no photo. We stopped at a Port-o-potty on the side of the road (we just couldn't wait any longer and there was NOTHING else around but little bushes.) While we stretched our legs the kids (and Jamie) attempted to go mountain climbing... just kidding- they just found some steep rocks to climb around on. (photo included) OH the dogs attempted that climb too.
4.... we made a last minute decision at Baker City, OR to journey up to Hell's Canyon National Park. We thought it would just be about an hour or two out of the way but it ended up being around 3 total hours out of our way b/f making our way back to the interstate so we could arrive at our destination in Boise, ID. The detour was soooo worth it. The mountains were breathtaking. My toes stayed curled as Jamie thought he'd hug every curve around the mountain-side. We seen some mountain goats... but it happened so fast that I couldn't capture a shot. BUT- we did stop on the side of the road and perched our bottoms as we watched an Eagle sit in a tree beside a river. It was relaxing as we sat and listened to the river flow and nature chirp all around. (photo of Eagle and some of the scenery included)This road was not travelled by many so we were able to literally sit on the side of the road.
5... We have arrived in Boise, ID to rest.
Our plans for tomorrow are to get to Yellowstone. OH and guess what?!!? It is suppose to rain and snow for the next 3 days while we are there. YES SNOW! It's going to be interresting! Stay tune... Maybe the weather channel is WRONG.
Well... keep checking in. I won't promise I'll have internet for the next 3 nights b/c we're going to be in a cabin in the middle of Yellowstone.
Take care and enjoy the photos...

Tammie and I miss you guys so much. The group meeting just wasn't the same without you. Hope you are having a great time in Yellowstone. You know, Yellowstone is God's second home. Silverdale is where he likes to spend most of his time. :) Keep the pictures and comments coming. See ya in DC.
