What a great weekend it has been.
Fri.afternoon rolled around and it was time to head off to the softball game. C has three of his friends in the basement playing the PS2. So, I go down about 30 min b/f we have to be at this game to round them up and send them all home. The next thing I hear is "hey can P go? What about A? Do you care if JD does too?" So, low and behold-I am rushing out the door with three extra boys for the night and not just to go to the game- it turned into a sleep over about 10 min b/f we had to be out the door for this game. After being at the ballgame for 2 and half hours and celebrating with ice cream afterwards- we get home at 1130pm. While eating ice cream- J ask "mom can H spend the night with me?" I'm a sucker- I'm telling ya... so of course I say YES. We come home with 4boys and 2 girls... I LOVE MY VAN!!!!!!!!!!!! I send the 4 boys to the basement and the 2 girls up to J's bedroom. Needless to say I didn't get to sleep until after midnight.
Sat.. I wake up and the boys are too cute all passed out like they never moved from in front of the PS2 all night long. I cook pancakes, bacon, and french toast. After closing down the kitchen- I go out to work in the yard. Jamie works on the deck. He got all the decking on top done- so now we can actually use our back doors. OHHH the BBQ parties we'll have on that deck.... we love BBQ's!
SUNDAY- God is great. I'm so thankful for all he blesses me with. My husband loves me unconditionally and we love the church. One great reason to rejoice and smile- ok maybe that's 2. After worship- we discover that WE ARE CHILDLESS!!!!!! C goes his way with a friend from church and so does J. It was nice to be with Jamie ALONE for the day. We haven't had that in such a long time. We went to eat lunch with some friends from church- then we went hot tub shopping... can't wait to get that either to enjoy. We arrived home long enough to get some "Sunday rest" b/f heading back up to the church for more worship. I meet up with the kids- and once again see how happy they are to have the friends that they have met and spent the day with. God is so good for blessing my children with wonderful friends... friends that love God too. C's friend from church is a new Christain and WOW this is one sweet boy. He's such a great example for my little man... J's friends are all too sweet and cute too. Being around her and her friends bring back so many memories of my childhood days- hanging with my girlfriends. I'm not sure if we were such the drama queens as J and her friends are... tooooo cute!!!! Once again I hear after church tonight- "mom, do you care if the girls spend the night tonight?" I ask- "what girls?" then she names them off... so yes- 3 more plus her... can't help to say nothing more but YES. So, here we are tonight at home. This time the girls are in the basement and Cody is zonked out here on my bed curled up next to me. I ponder- do I move him into his bed or snuggle right up next to him and cherish it while it last. Yes- b/f too long he'll be too grown to want to lay next to me at all.
So, there you have it.... my rambling for the night. OH how I love God, my family, and my life.
