We're finally HOME!!!

We're here but still no internet. We take advantage of Panera Bread's FREE internet service. So, that's where we are at the moment- catching up on email, our bank accounts, and thought I'd post here to catch you all up.
Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse were awesome... more details to come on Crazy Horse when I can sit and think about the details I want to share. It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen and I want to be sure to share facts about that Monument. GO SEE IT!!! We left SD on Sat. morning and kept driving until we reached Manassas, VA on mid afternoon Sun. Jamie insisted on us driving non-stop- so that's what we did. He drove all of it but maybe 4 hours of it. We arrived to scorching temps of 100 at least. We haven't felt temps that hot since we left Auburn, AL in 2006. When we've made a visit to AL to see family it was in the winter so we will have to get use to those temps once again.
We have been painting... got one room done and decided that it was a job for a professional so yes we have hired a painter... There's still a lot we want to do to our new home. We still do not have our stuff...it will be delivered on Sat. we are sleeping on air matresses and will make one more visit to the laundry mat.
We miss the temps in WA but not the rain... too bad we can't "order" what temps we would like to have- this heat is for the birds!
The kids are bored to death and miss the friends back in WA. They play in the sprinklers while we water our grass... there are lots of kids in the neighborhood but we just haven't ventured out b/c of the heat.
I can't wait to share ALL my photos with ya. I have them ready just need internet to upload them here... so please do check back by the end of the week. I should have it all ready to share here by Fri.
