What makes me smile...

Many things do but when Jamie walked in the door with these flowers- I smiled. I act like he never gives me flowers- he does and is good at it but there's just so much going on lately that these lifted me. OK on to why I needed the lifting...
1. We (me and the kids) said good-bye to Jamie this morning. He moved to DC. We will move there the last of May but he had to go on b/c work started for him there at the Pentagon. I plan to stay here and let the kids finish up school.
2. My small doggy weighing in at only 4lbs fell on the stairs and broke her back leg. Took her to the vet today and was informed it was indeed broke and needed surgery ASAP. So, that was hard to make that decision financially and emotionally... She will need lots of TLC over the next few weeks- oh yes something else to pile on my plate. I'm changing her name to "goldie" (not really b/c we like her real name.) That is indeed what she is now since we have so much invested in this tiny pup- "a chunck of gold."
3. I love to help and volunteer for things especially when it comes to photography. A friend of mine asked me to shoot her daughters wedding on the 20th of this month... so I'm staying up all hours of the night learning all I can about wedding photography-I'm learning nothing I didn't already know- but it makes me feel good to keep reading. OH and I'm also doing her invitations... excited but it's something else on I've got to do.
4. We're wrapping up basketball season... only to start spring sports next week.
OHHHH and guess what I just bought me another new lense and rented one to try out for the next 3 wks. OH yes I am soooo excited! Hope you enjoy the flowers.

LOVE LOVE the flowers! Bottom right is my favorite, I like all the light/white background.

A WEDDING?!?! You are brave! I can't wait to see!

And back across the country you go- to D.C.! At least you got to experience a different part of the country for awhile...
