Saying Good-bye...

Well, this was the day. We've been a part of the Navy for 15yrs and have never had to say good-bye for this long. The day was emotional but also a sigh of relief. I hated to see Jamie go but those last days of preperation are the worse for Jamie and on our family. There's anxiety, emotions, stress, you name it we experienced it. I kind of felt guilty after giving him one last hug and kiss b/f watching him walk to the boat b/c I felt so much lighter if that's a good way to describe it. We plan to be busy with the move out west in August, school starts the first of September, and then fall sports will begin. We'll be busy meeting new friends, creating a new "family" at church, and of course the unpacking that will take me longer b/c Jamie will not be there to help. I plan to fly back to AL for Christmas then b/f we know it Jamie will soon be home. There will be days that I want to scream and cry but with the Grace of God...I WILL SURVIVE! Check out the pics and the video. If there's a problem viewing the video let me know and I'll email the link to you. Notice the kids sitting on the cement block with the signs...I thought it was cool. I made them shirts that read..."God Bless America...and my daddy while he's deployed USS CONNECTICUT headed for the western seas."
